LA Look Part II
My heart shattered when I that the Twin Shadow/Diamond Rings show sold out before I could even attempt to buy a ticket, I have been equally obsessed with both and I deserved to go to their show! Yes, I have seen them both live but once is never enough. But sure enough Twin Shadow pulled through like a champ and added another show for me! So for all you Los Angelinos whose heart broke for that sold out show hurry and get your tickets before its too late! And can we all just admire George Lewis’ great taste in facial hair? And just great taste in general? See you and your mustache September 23, Mr. Lewis.
Love LOVE James Blake. A small part of me dies every time I think about how I missed his last performance in LA. Here is his performance of “The Wilhelm Scream” on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
Washed Out @ Echoplex
This past weekend I had the pleasure of going to see one of my current favorite artists, Washed Out. I’ve talked in the past about my obsession with Ernest Greene and his southern sweetness that I find irresistible, so you can imagine my excitement upon receiving my tickets in the mail that I hung on my fridge for a full week before the show, just to prepare myself. I’ve been pleasantly surprised to find how much popularity Washed Out has attained over these past few months, and it showed in the crowd which was buzzing with excitement in anticipation waiting for Washed Out to appear. While normally I automatically zone out any opening bands, I was actually impressed with openers Class Actress who put on a great performance which I even got off the couch to check out, I suggest you check them out too! Class Actress definitely got the crowd prepared, but Washed Out completely stole the show with their performance. I was surprised to find that Washed Out put on an energetic performance, as I had came expecting to surf the chillwave, but I was pleased to find myself amongst a huge dance party in the crowded audience. They even brought out a saxophone player to play along to “Feel it all Around,” what a jazzy surprise. If you haven’t had the chance to see Washed Out live, I suggest you do so right away!

So much talent in one video! Guerre creates this entire song with only his voice.
