Sun Airway.
A while ago I stumbled upon Sun Airway and was impressed with what I heard. I was surprised to learn that Sun Airway was the result of former A-Sides members, Patrick Marsceill and Jon Bathmus, needed a refreshing project. It seems as though their A-Sides days weren’t completely put to waste, as they took what they learned from being in the A-Sides to record on their own for the first time in Bathmus’ basement, they would even play guitar versions of some of their current songs as A-Sides. But Sun Airways have since swapped their guitars in for electronics and vocals, its apparent that they put much effort and time into each of their songs, Bathmus even designed their album art!
I love the way the upbeat and somewhat dance-y melodies mix with Bathmus’ smooth vocals. My favorite Sun Airway tracks are: Oh, Naoko and Waiting On You, so check ‘em out!
