I don’t want love.
I’m embarrassed and sad that it has taken me this long to discover The Antlers. They’ve been around for a few years now, although originally this was a solo project headed by Peter Silberman. This past week I’ve had an unhealthy obsession with just about every one of their songs, Silberman’s empathetic voice is like a sturdy shoulder to cry on and I can’t get enough! My current favorite song to obsess over is “I don’t want love” which is allegedly about the ending of a friends-with-benefits friendship, the morning-after fallout. This tune is melancholic, with somewhat of a nostalgic undertone to it. I love everything about this song, if you aren’t currently obsessed, I suggest you give it a go and check it out.
